WELCOME TO THE LDQ UNIVERSE
The Beginning: Dancing With Friends
Line Dancing Queens began in 2023 when Molly founded the brand after she and her friends discovered line dancing together in college. What started as fun nights out dancing quickly turned into something more when Molly began filming their routines and sharing the clips on TikTok and Instagram.
As the videos started gaining traction, the group built an online following of women who loved the confidence, fun, and friendship that line dancing brings. One of the first moments the group realized their growing influence was when the line dance venue they frequented asked to be tagged in their videos after seeing how many people were discovering the community through them.
Before long, people were recognizing the “Queens” at line dance nights around Boston. What began as a group of friends dancing together had grown into a welcoming community built on the same energy that started it all — being fun, kind, and inclusive.
From the very beginning, Line Dancing Queens embraced the spirit of “Royalty in Boots”: bold, confident, and playful, with friendship at the heart of everything we do.
The Growth: Bringing LDQ to Life
As the online community flourished, Molly and Vicky realized the movement could extend beyond screens. By 2025, the Boston line dance scene had grown so much that there was a real need for more space to bring people together and continue the fun. That’s when we started hosting weekly bar nights, private lessons, and special events, turning Line Dancing Queens into a real-life experience.
Together, we now co-lead these events, DJing, teaching, and making every night a celebration of line dancing, friendship, and confidence. While the digital side was founded and built by Molly, Molly and Vicky now lead all live events, bringing the LDQ Universe to life both online and in person.
THE LDQ UNIVERSE: WHAT WE DO NOW
Today, Line Dancing Queens has grown into a full universe, both digital and live. Our OG Queens, the original crew of friends, continue to inspire and appear in content, while a vibrant community of fans and dancers across Boston (and beyond) keeps growing.
But LDQ is more than just dancing; it’s about friendship, empowerment, and fun. We’re proud to create a space where everyone can feel confident, welcomed, and part of the movement. Whether you’re here for the moves, the community, or simply to have a great time, there’s a place for you in the LDQ Universe.
We host weekly events at McCarthy’s in Cambridge, along with special events throughout the year, offering something for dancers of all levels, from beginner lessons to advanced choreography. We also offer private lessons tailored to individual goals and skill levels.
